A colourful encounter with history: a Night at the Invalides
Every summer evening for the last eight years the Invalides has burst into life with sound and colour. This monumental and breathtaking open-air show is called Nuit aux Invalides (Night at the Invalides). Taking place in the famous courtyard of the Hôtel des Invalides every year, each show portrays an event in French history. This year’s presentation, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the death of Napoleon, is entitled L’Envol de l'Aigle (The Flight of the Eagle).
A show in an exceptional setting
Les Invalides is one of the emblematic monuments of Paris, recognisable at first glance from the precision and elegance of its facades, its immense esplanade and, above all, the dazzling golden dome surmounting the central chapel.
